1940s LUXURY DINING
Five-Star on the Rails
Enjoy the nostalgia of our fully restored 1940s dining cars. Experience fully dressed tables and a relaxed four-course meal made and served from our kitchen car, just like in the 40s.
YOUR TABLE IS READY
A Meal with a View
Each table seats four guests. You can relax in dome-back banquet chairs with generous padding and no armrests. If your party is larger than four guests, you will still be seated together at tables across the aisle from each other to make conversing easy. All tables have a 57-inch picture window, providing a beautiful view for all four passengers.
PRIVATE TABLE FOR TWO
Setting the Stage
If you prefer a more private experience for a special occasion or simply do not want to share a table with others, a private table for two is perfect for you. Instead of sharing a table with four people, you can enjoy the intimacy of dining with just the two of you.
AUTHENTIC TRAIN TRAVEL
A Step Back in Time
The My Old Kentucky Dinner Train pulls three dining cars, one kitchen car, and a fifth car that serves as both a dining and kitchen area. Upon check-in, guests receive tickets with their assigned seats clearly indicated. Tables are labeled with markers on each windowsill. Seats with extra space are available upon request at the time of booking for those who may need them.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Here to Help
Though it is from the 1940s, our train is ADA-compliant, and one train car is wheelchair accessible. To enter the Depot building, please use the ramp and request boarding assistance so our staff can place you in the correct train car. The wheelchair-accessible car can accommodate wheelchairs up to 27 inches wide. If this is too narrow, our staff can assist you with our transport chair if you are able. Additionally, this car is equipped with outlets to assist with medical equipment. Please inform our staff when booking, and we will ensure that your seat has everything you need.
PRIORITY BOARDING
Take Your Time
For those who prefer a more relaxed boarding experience, we offer Priority Boarding. This service is designed for those who would like the luxury of a stress-free boarding experience where you can casually find your table and seat without being concerned with inconveniencing other passengers. Priority Boarding is best suited for passengers with mobility aids, passengers of size, or those caring for others who may need extra time and assistance.
FULLY EQUIPPED
Your Comfort in Mind
Each train car is temperature-controlled, although it often runs cold, so we recommend wearing long sleeves. Additionally, there are restrooms available for both men and women. You can also find a full bar in the depot building as well as on the train. Simply ask your server and your order will be delivered right to you.
TAKING THE SCENIC ROUTE
The Back Side of Bourbon Country
While you enjoy your meal, our train travels down 17 miles of historic track laid in the 1860s. You will pass through quaint Bardstown, scenic distillery properties, Bernheim Forest, cross the famous Jackson Hollow Trestle, and many other historical and rail highlights.
